Funeral services for Gerald Fry, age 69, of Cumby, will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Jeb McNew officiating. A Military graveside service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:30 pm.
Gerald Fry passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1946 in Greenville, TX to Glen Fry and Jewel (Moore) Fry. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. Mr. Fry was a Material Specialist on offshore drilling rigs and was part of a seismograph crew. He was also a member of the Masons.
Survivors include: significant other, Jan Hensley, of Arlington, cousins: Kandy Wharton, Joy Chandler, Jean Paul Cornelius, and Nedra Cornelius.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
