Graveside services for Max Johnson, age 61 of Dike, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Nelta Cemetery with Jan Bartley and Micah Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Max passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at his residence. He was a retired Captain with the Sulphur Springs Fire Department and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was born on March 22, 1954, the son of Ellery and Maxine (Potts) Johnson in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include his sons, Micah Johnson and wife, Melissa of Dike and Brian Fairchild of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Kimberly Vititow of Sulphur Springs; mother, Maxine Johnson of Sulphur Springs; sister, Jan Bartley of Dike; grandchildren, Shane Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Tristan Fairchild, Levi Fairchild, Jaden and Cohen.
He was preceded in death by his father.
