Texas State Champion Homemade Ice Cream Freeze Off

The weather for Saturday afternoon is expected to be to be mostly sunny with a temperature right at 90 degrees. Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce President Meredith Caddell would tell you that’s perfect for an ice cream freeze off, specifically the 13th annual Texas State Champion Homemade Ice Cream Freeze Off. It takes place at 4 p.m. Saturday on the Civic Center grounds near the AgriLife Extension Office. There will be lots of winners with hundreds of people showing up to taste ice cream.
