City of Sulphur Springs Director of Finance Peter Karstens distributed draft budgets to city council members during a workshop Tuesday night. They’ll go over the budget line by line next Tuesday. The budget keeps the tax rate the same. Water and sewer rates will go up 2%. Street work in the budget increases to $1.8-million. The budget has funds to remodel old city hall and begin the overhaul of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
