The local American Legion Post #66 is having a meeting Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce office in an attempt to increase their numbers and to get youth and women involved with their group. The American Legion Post #66 in Sulphur Springs is hoping to recruit some new members at a meeting Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce Office. The local post wants to establish an Auxiliary for women and a Sons of Legion organization. They also want to offer a shooting team and an oratorical contest for students that can result in scholarship dollars.
