Hubert Ray Kirkpatrick

Funeral service for Hubert Ray Kirkpatrick, age 81, of Emory, will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at 1:00 pm, at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church #1. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Bro. David Hendricks and Bro. Jeff Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Mr. Kirkpatrick died at his residence early Thursday morning. He was born in Rains County, on Feb. 20, 1933, to Ennis Nolan and Lela Morrow Kirkpatrick. He married Martha Nell Steed, in Point, on April 10, 1959. They shared some 55 years of marriage. Hubert was a cattle rancher for the most part of his life.

Survivors include: Wife: Martha Nell Kirkpatrick of Emory, Daughter: Jeanetta Stephens (Bob) of Emory, Son: Garry Ray Kirkpatrick (Luckey) of Alba, 2 Brothers: James Alton Kirkpatrick (Ann) and Gerald Dean Kirkpatrick (Donna), 3 Sisters: Pearl Haney Jones, Ruth Whitehead, and Delois Spence (Roy Lee), Grandchildren: Nicole Nickell (Ryan), Lucus Kirkpatrick (Ashley), and Shayla Kirkpatrick
Great-grandchildren: Donnalynn Rayleigh Kirkpatrick and Rylie Rae Nickell, Numerous other loving family and friends
Preceded in death by: Parents; 1 son, Lennis Aaron Kirkpatrick in 1984; 4 Brothers, Allen Dale Kirkpatrick, Earl Kirkpatrick, Nolan Kirkpatrick, and J.T. Kirkpatrick.
