The Texas Farm Bureau put on its’ first day of the two day Ag in the Class for fourth grade students Monday in the Civic Center Arena. More than 400 students were in attendance Monday from all over Hopkins County and surrounding counties. Don Smith with the Texas Farm Bureau of Hopkins and Rains counties said the event teaches young people about agriculture, what it does and why it is done. He noted it’s all about food production that produces strong bodies.
