Brashear by Debbie Young 12/19/2014
Rain Rain and more rain. We so need it. I just asked Tom how many days have we seen the sun this week. Not many but it is okay. If you happen to see my friend, Chuck King, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday. I will be a good friend and not put his age in the paper since we are the same age today.
Christmas is fast approaching and I wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of my friends here in Hopkins County. This season will be hard because this will be the first one without my mom. She didn’t participate much when we got together but she was there in her own way. She kept us in line and always wanted a bite of everything to see if she liked it or not. A bit was about all she would eat.
Love you mom, Merry Christmas.
I never received a response on what was all of the construction was on FM 3389 so I assume it is a well-kept secret. Inquiring minds wanted to know.
Our Divorce Care 13 week session is over and we will be starting up again in January on a new day. Exciting things are coming with this outreach. Stay tuned for more information. We have such great support from the News Telegram, The Way, KSST, and Suddenlink. Thank you for getting the word out to others.
This holiday season is also a time to remember our homebound friends. Keep in touch with them and let them know they are not forgotten. Drop by with just a smile and you will be so richly rewarded.
This weather has caused some havoc with our roads in Brashear. They are a mess. Take it slow on these roads for the potholes will get you.
New Year is fast approaching and I know everyone is thinking of New Year Resolutions. Here is a good one, take care of yourself. Take time to exercise, eat right, and get plenty of rest. So on that note, ladies come join us for our New Year’s Blast with P31. For $25, you will have an opportunity for 5 nights to get a good workout, new friends, and an inspiration from our great trainer, Jennifer Caudle. Come join the fun. Contact Jennifer or myself if you want more information.
My time is about to run out to get this into the paper so I will close. Please be careful during this holiday season. We were blessed so many centuries ago by a special gift, baby Jesus. Remember the reason for the season and be thankful for your many blessings. They are there if you just take the time to look for them. Being positive not negative and your day, week, month, and year will be so much better. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Any specific news, remember to call me at 903.612.8806; email me at [email protected]; or drop by CR 1119.
Thanks to everyone who is stop by and use the Brashear Library. We have a lot of new books. Thought with the weather being blah, you might enjoy a good book.
