Betty Lawson Retires

The Sulphur Springs School Board accepted the retirement notice of Assistant Superintendent Betty Lawson Monday night. Ms. Lawson will continue in her job through the end of her contract at the end of August. Superintendent Michael Lamb said Ms. Lawson had done a lot of great things for the district. With a veteran staff, Lamb said he expected more retirements in the next few years. He called Ms. Lawson’s job a key one.   I talked about Ms. Lawson’s planned retirement with School Superintendent Michael Lamb Tuesday morning.
