Funeral service for Stephen “Jess” Medina, age 78, of Emory, will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, 2:00 pm, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Henry Garmon and Chaplain Mike will officiate. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm, one hour prior to service time, at the funeral home.
Mr. Medina died at his residence in the early morning hours of Sunday. He was born Oct. 17, 1936, in , to Stephen Jesse and Josefina Silvagolni Medina. Mr. Medina served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He married Maria Refugio Sanchez, Sept. 19, 1959, in Juarez, CHI, Mexico. Two daughters were born to this union. Mr. Medina worked for, and retired from, Rockwell International, where he worked as an electric calibration supervisor.

Grandchildren: Stephan Allen Redmon; Michell Ruthann Sicking; and Jessica Staley, Great-grandchildren: Andrew, Lucas, Marie, and Jackson, Numerous other loving family and friends. Preceded bay: Parents; and 1 daughter, Irma Garcia Burgan
