A 20-year old Rowlett man was arrested and faces a charge of rustling some of his grandfather’s cattle herd in Sulphur Bluff. Toney Hurley, a special ranger with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association arrested the man after he checked a cow and a bull into the Sulphur Springs Livestock Auction Monday. According to an arrest report, the man confessed to the theft of livestock. His grandfather indicated he would press charges.
Jacob Thomas Ramsey was charged with theft of cattle under ten head Tuesday before Justice of the Peace Brad Cummings who set bond for Ramsey at $10,000.
