Josh Davis first performed in a tribute to Elvis in 2007 when he was 14 years old.
He started out at local venues in the Sulphur Springs area, and soon was traveling as an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) all over Texas and in Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and in Hawaii. He is not only a full-time performer but a versatile performer who also does tributes to Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Ricky Nelson. But his favorite is Elvis, and he enjoys portraying all eras of Elvis’ career.
Now in his early 20’s, Josh has already received numerous awards in ETA competitions. In 2012, he was a finalist in the Tupleo Elvis Festival and Images of the King Contest in Memphis. In 2014, Josh was again a finalist at Tupelo as well as the Elvis Expo in Oklahoma and the South Carolina Elvis Festival. As Josh has begun to set his sights on a finalist slot in the Ultimate Elvis Contest, he racked up second and third-place finishes in other preliminary contests around the South. Most recently, his first-place win at Biloxi, Mississippi on May 2, 2015 secured him a distinction as one of 24 ETA finalists from around the world. These performers will converge on Memphis, Tennessee during Elvis Week in August 2015, seeking the Ultimate Elvis International title as well as a $20,000 top prize and a year’s contract with “Legends” appearances, headquartered in Las Vegas, NM.
This summer, Josh will stay in form by putting on concerts around the local area and in neighboring states. Catch the “Elvis and More” at the Reilly Springs Jamboree on June 20 and the “Aloha From Hawaii” concert on July 25 at Sulphur Springs Antique Auction.
