Graveside services for Mary “Maggie” Hurt, age 85 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gordon Schulz officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mary “Maggie” passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab. She was born on May 21, 1929, the daughter of Elmer and Kate (Burkhart) Vickers in Posey. She married Hampton Lou Hurt on June 1, 1977 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death.
She was the retired owner of a pet grooming business and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include son, Stephen Pat Barnard of Livingston; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Edith Garner, Lorene Beckham, Eva Lee Williamson, Irene Hargrave and Margie Hall and two brothers, J.D. Vickers and R.C. Vickers.
