Funeral service for Eva Elaine Parkman, age 85, of Emory, will be held Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, 10:00 am, at Lake Fork Baptist Church. Bro. Johnny Wheat, and Bro. Perry Crisp will officiate. Interment will follow in Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 — 5:00 pm Sunday afternoon at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parkman died in Decatur, at Wise Regional Hospital, on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015. She was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Grapevine, to Andrew Hubert and Luberta Young Cate. She married James William Parkman, in Grapevine, on Aug. 29, 1947. They were married for some 65 years. Mrs. Parkman was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Son: James Parkman (Judy) of Valley View; Daughters: Linda Adams (Ron) of Coppell, Vickie Lannom (Billy) of Chico, and Betty Martin of Seagoville; Sister: Shirley Adams of Ben Wheeler; Brothers: Donnie Cate of Ennis, Robert Cate of Paris, and T.W. Cate of Bowie; Grandchildren: Wayne Parkman, Dusty Parkman, Austin Adams, Andrew Adams, Aspen Adams, Neil Sears, Chasity Martin, and Justin Martin; Great-grandchildren: Sheldon, Shelby, Stephanie, little Mila (due in November), Ty, Jake, Luke, Ainsley, Kennedy, Landon, and Carson; Numerous other loving family and friends.
