Graveside Service for Gail Thomas Washington, 69, of Dallas, TX will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Mel haven Cemetery, Sulphur Springs. Pastor, Danny Cox will provide the eulogy. Relatives and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Viewing with formal visitation will be held on Friday, February 12 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Mason & Mason Mortuary.
Gail Thomas Washington died Sunday, February 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Mrs. Washington was born February 7, 1947 in Sulphur Springs to Goldie Mae Goodson Thomas and Leon Thomas. Both parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Washington attended Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs. Mrs. Washington retired from Preston Towers in Dallas after 27 years of service.
Gail Thomas Washington leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Joseph Washington; one stepson, Cornelius Washington; 4 stepdaughters, Pamela Simons, Bennie Brown, Phyllis Washington and Rosalina Cook; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Thomas Hill; two brothers, Jimmy Joe Gordon and Don Roby Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
