Marzell Gilbert, age 93, crossed from this earth to our heavenly father on July 10, 2016.
Marzell, known to her friends as Margie, was born on March 22, 1923 in Adell, Texas to Velma and Barney Phillips. She graduated from Peaster ISD and soon after married Chandler Amos Gilbert of Weatherford. Chandler passed away on July 17, 1981.
Margie later married Wayne Wardrup of Saltillo Tx. Margie was a homemaker, loving mother, exceedingly proud grandmother of two and great-grandmother of one. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, cooking, sowing, making ceramics, and fishing. Margie is preceded in death by her husband Chandler, mother and father and sister Mildred (Mickey) Barber of Austin.
Survivors: son – Jerry Don Gilbert and wife Sylvia of Dripping Springs, TX., grandson Russell Wade Gilbert of College Station Tx., granddaughter Chery Gilbert Andrews and husband Brian Andrews and great-grandson Kyle Chandler Walsh of Lakeway TX.
