There are twelve young ladies hoping to be the 2016 Homecoming Queen at Sulphur Springs High School. When you hear all that they are involved in, you wonder where they find the time. (See video introductions here.)
Kamryn Wimberley is on the varsity soccer team and she is in HKK. Story Thompson is active in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, FFA and cheerleading.
Summer Brooks is also a cheerleader and she is in National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
Jaye Doughtie is a varsity softball player and is in Health Science Technical Education, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and Key Club.
Faith Singleton is a varsity soccer player and is also active in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Student Council, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
Cindy Arellano is in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Key Club, Health Science Technology Education and UIL Academics.
Emily Johnson is one of three Drum Majors for the Wildcats Marching Band, is the Senior Class President, Historian for the Student Council and is also in National Honor Society, Key Club, Business Professionals of America and UIL Academics.
Lauren Helm in on the varsity soccer team and varsity cross country team. She is also in National Honor Society and Key Club.
Savanna McAfee is in Key Club, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, is President of HKK, is on a Dance Competition Team and is a member of the varsity choir.
Tori Moore plays varsity volleyball and basketball and is in Key Club, National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
Hannah Crowson plays varsity softball and is in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, the Leadership Class and Key Club.
Kylie Cooper is a cheerleader co-captain and is in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Key Club, Leadership Class, is vice-President of HKK and is in National Honor Society.
One of these busy young ladies will be named Homecoming Queen just before the Homecoming Football Game Friday night. The student body will make the tough decision.
