A 22-year old female from Arkansas was arrested by DPS Tuesday evening at the 131-mile marker on I-30 for not following instructions. The charge was a misdemeanor.
The woman was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop it was found that neither the driver nor the passenger had a driver’s license. The trooper wrote a citation and told the two to call someone with a driver’s license. He also informed them that if they were found driving again, the Volvo S80 would be impounded and the driver arrested.
A short time later, the Volvo passed the trooper’s location. He initiated a stop. The driver was the same person from the previous stop. The trooper kept his word. The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.
