Royal Caribbean is scheduled to send one of their classic ships to Galveston. The Vision of the Seas will join another Royal Caribbean ship, the Liberty of the Seas that already is in Galveston. Although the Vision was built in 1998 and was the first of the “Vision” series of ships, it recently went through a massive revitalization including upgrades to every stateroom as well as updates to all of the public spaces as well. Originally, the Vision of the Seas will offer mostly 5-day sailings from Galveston visiting Puerto Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. The first sailing for the Vision of the Seas out of Galveston will be November 6th, and will offer cruises from the Texas port until the middle of April, 2018 where it will then head off to Europe and offer 10-12 day cruises of Northern Europe. Reservations for the Vision of the Seas are already being offered. With inside cabins starting at less than $350 per person on some sailings, this can be a very affordable vacation choice.
