Oscar Aguilar, a 49 year resident of Sulphur Springs, has filed for re-election to Place 3 on on the Sulphur Springs City Council. Places 1, 2, and 3 will be on the May 5th ballot.
Aguilar, in a statement to KSST, stated, “I have served on city council since 2006 and would like your support for Re-Election to City Council Place #3. Our small town has changed considerable since 2006. Major street improvements have been made and will continue to work towards making more streets improvement a priority.
Major businesses are in the process of expanding production and employing more local workers. Revitalizing Downtown has make a big impact on our community for the good of all people.”
He noted, “The Senior Citizen center is a concern for all of our community. We need to strive to excel in grants; fundraisers and community projects to build a center that can accommodate the senior’s needs into the next generations.”
