May 16th
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2205 near Mineola, at approximately 1:00 a.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 5:12 a.m., horses were reported out on HWY 80 near Hawkins.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:10 a.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 3689 near Hawkins. Deputies determined this was a civil matter.
At 9:28 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:09 p.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on PR 5975 near Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 3:06 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1513 near Alba.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2350 near Mineola; at approximately 5:23 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and it appeared to be abandoned.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5446 near Quitman, at approximately 5:42 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole jewelry from the reporting party’s residence.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:13 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on CR 3450 near Hawkins. Actors, or actors unknown, stole gas from the reporting party’s vehicle. Deputies advised extra patrol would be provided.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 3440 near Hawkins; at approximately 7:03 p.m. Daniel Sellers, 30, of Tyler, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1977 near Yantis, at approximately 7:58 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 9:19 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 11:03 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 11:25 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
May 17th
Deputies were dispatched to Beaulah St. in Hawkins, at approximately 1:27 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 1:57 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4700 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:27 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 6:30 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:16 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2205 near Mineola. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
At 3:41 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 6:29 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 10:52 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Winnsboro.
May 18th
Deputies were dispatched to Whitefoot near Quitman, at approximately 3:23 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:47 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and spoke with all parties involved. The scene was cleared.
At 12:15 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4980 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to Blue Water Lane near Hawkins, at approximately 12:29 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
At 12:30 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 17 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1416 near Quitman, at approximately 1:55 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4450 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:04 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
At 2:34 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1885 near Yantis, at approximately 4:15 p.m., in reference to shots fired. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2231 near Mineola, at approximately 7:54 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

May 19th
Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook point, at approximately 12:04 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Holbrook beach; at approximately 12:32 a.m. Ruben Rodriguez, 37, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 1:00 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1994 near Yantis, at approximately 7:07 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2132 near Quitman, at approximately 1:16 p.m., in reference to a dog bite. The owner of the dog was advised of the quarantine protocol and the scene was cleared.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:02 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle on FM 312 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 6:02 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
At 6:12 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3950 near Hawkins.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2280 near Mineola, at approximately 9:47 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Holiday Village Dr. near Quitman; at approximately 10:48 p.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 11:35 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
May 20th
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2229 near Mineola, at approximately 3:49 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2229 near Mineola; at approximately 4:36 a.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
At 8:58 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:39 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
At 12:13 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2635 near Mineola, at approximately 12:46 p.m., in reference to a vehicle fire. Mineola Fire Department extinguished the fire and the scene was cleared.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 11 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:49 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:45 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to the Winnsboro Emergency Room, at approximately 5:20 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 76, passed away in the hospital. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2360 near Mineola; at approximately 5:24 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:17 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2270 near Mineola; at approximately 8:18 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:33 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 2370 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 8:39 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 11 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to the Winnsboro Emergency Room, at approximately 9:06 p.m., in reference to a dog bite that occurred on CR 4480 near Winnsboro. The owner of the dog was advised of the quarantine protocol and the scene was cleared.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 515 near Winnsboro; at approximately 9:43 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 2262 near Mineola; at approximately 10:06 p.m. Kardarian Cooksey, 24, of Hawkins, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:26 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances that occurred on CR 1985 near Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
May 21st
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 12:07 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3847 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:02 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2560 near Mineola, at approximately 4:28 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Yantis, at approximately 9:53 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 81, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3811 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:42 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3460 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:16 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2466 near Mineola, at approximately 1:49 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a four-wheeler from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 2:01 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1795 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:15 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Nicholas Potoczak, 31, of Tyler, was arrested for Criminal Trespass.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2745 near Mineola, at approximately 4:16 p.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Quitman, at approximately 5:32 p.m., in reference to theft. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to SPUR 514 near Yantis, at approximately 6:28 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a lawn mower from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 7:10 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Upon deputies’ arrival, the door was ajar, but nothing was missing. Deputies cleared and secured the building.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3812 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:06 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and parties were separated for the night.

May 22nd
At 7:28 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:25 a.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 4580 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 9:17 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1941 near Yantis; at approximately 9:54 a.m. Rita Luscomb, 48, of Yantis, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4730 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:07 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 1:20 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4660 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2112 near Quitman, at approximately 1:49 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1522 near Alba; at approximately 2:04 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
At 4:11 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.
Deputies were dispatched to Coke Rd. in Winnsboro, at approximately 6:06 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6662 near Mineola, at approximately 6:09 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4586 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:31 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to Clayton St. in Yantis, at approximately 10:07 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2430 near Mineola, at approximately 10:40 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Shelby Adams, 22, of Mineola, was arrested for Assault.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 11:20 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 515 near Yantis; at approximately 11:46 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Between the dates of May 16 and May 22, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included Police Departments and Child Protective Services.
Between the dates of May 16 and May 22, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators recovered $7,000 worth of stolen property.
Total Jail Count – 132 inmates – 112 males and 20 females.
