The Northeast Texas Beef Improvement Organization is gearing up to hold its mid-summer pre-conditioned stocker and feeder calf sale on July 18 at the Sulphur Springs Livestock Commission. The sale will begin at 1 p.m.
The consignment book has already been closed on this July NETBIO sale, but there are more sales ahead to accommodate producers wanting to market their cattle. Consignment books are open for sales to be held on Sept. 19, Oct. 17 and the anniversary sale on Nov. 14.
NETBIO directors added the October sale last year due to the increased demand from organization members wanting to sell their pre-conditioned calves and yearlings through the NETBIO marketing system.
Sulphur Springs Livestock Commission co-owner and NETBIO director David Fowler said producers are already consigning cattle to the September, October and November sales.
“We make every effort to provide a marketing opportunity for producers who have pre-conditioned cattle ready to sell,” Fowler said.
Producers are urged to consign their cattle and schedule their delivery as early as possible. Just call the Livestock Sale office for ear tags and scheduling.
All NETBIO auctions are broadcast on the Internet and the Sulphur Springs Livestock Auction will be accepting bids at LMA Auctions.com. Internet buyers should register in advance in order to bid.
