Linda Marlene Clayton Hines of Commerce, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in Sun City West, Arizona, at the Banner Del E. Hospital.
Linda was born November 7, 1955. The daughter of James and Lena Mae Clayton. She attended school in Commerce, Texas and married Elmar Hines Sr. on May 21, 1971 in Hopkins County. Together with her husband she had four children, and often would take on the responsibility of raising her step children, nieces and nephews. Linda was a devoted Christian and shared her faith by loving her family and friends unconditionally.
She is survived by her four children, Elmar Ray Hines Jr. of Mena Arkansas, Amanda Gail Hines of Commerce Texas, Jason Lynn Hines of Commerce, Texas and Joshua Dewayne Hines of Commerce, Texas, One Brother James Ray Clayton, one sister Celeste Clayton, one step Mother, Dorothy Clayton along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded by her late husband Elmar Ray Hines Sr., her parents James and Lena Mae Clayton, One brother Lester Clayton, and three sisters, Irene Hernandez, Christine Hutchison, and Lucinda Clayton.
Linda cherished her grandchildren and took every opportunity to be with them. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and she will be forever missed.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Horton Cemetery with Rev. Brock Mitchell officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones-Walker Funeral Home of Commerce.
