The #10 ranked Wildcats’ baseball team had their game with Amarillo postponed by rain in the Rose City Classic Friday at Mike Carter Field in Tyler. The Wildcats are 1-1 for the season. They are scheduled to play a pair of games on Saturday, weather permitting.
The Saturday schedule calls for a game against Waxahachie at 10 a.m. followed by a contest with Forney at noon. On the tournament’s opening day Thursday, the Wildcats defeated host Tyler Lee, 2-0 and then lost to district foe Lindale, 3-1.
