Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Hooten traveled to Lamar County jail, where 25-year-old Montrel Jabbor Roberts of Cooper was being held after being arrested on a Hopkins County warrant for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance.
Hooten transported Roberts at 11 a.m. Monday to Hopkins County jail, where he was held on the warrant, according to arrest reports.
Hooten also traveled to LeFlore County Detention Center in Poteau, Oklahoma, where 28-year-old Quentin Lee Wright of Sulphur Springs was being held on Hopkins County delivery of 1/4th ounce or more but less than 5 pounds of marijuana warrant.
Hooten took custody of and transported Wright at 8 a.m. to Hopkins County jail, where Wright was booked on the charge, according to arrest reports.
Wright remained in Hopkins County jail at noon May 21. Bond was set at $5,000 on the charge, according to jail reports.
