The Hope Gathering at West Tawakoni

Saturday October 19th, 2019 will be the inaugural Hope Gathering,  sponsored by the city of West Tawakoni. Join us as we come together as a community in support of cancer awareness. We will start the evening with an Awareness Walk at 6:00 P.M. followed by a candlelight vigil at 8:00 P.M. Booths will be set up in the West Tawakoni City Park and starting at 2 PM. There will be various sponsors and local businesses set up giving away various items, list below:

• Rancheros Restaurant is giving away 2 enchilada meals
• Larrys Barbershop is giving away 2 haircuts and a mans shave
• Rust and Lace is giving away a gift basket
• Trotline Bait and Tackle is giving away a rod and reel package and tacklebox
• Other businesses are giving away various things, such as throw pillows, I believe some quilts
• The Greater Vision Church is raffling a Remington 30-06 Model 7400 with a Tasco 1000 meter scope

I believe this is the first in what hopes to become an annual event, maybe next year the bugs will be worked out and the organization a little better but we are hoping to raise a lot of money for breast cancer awareness and yes all proceeds will go to breast cancer research, hoping to bring in a lot of people, God willing.
