September 25, 2019 to October 1, 2019


September 25th

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3859 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:30 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole an animal trap from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:36 a.m., in reference to harassment on FM 1801 near Mineola.
  • At 11:06 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 1801 near Mineola.
  • At 11:28 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 12:53 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Holly Trail near Hawkins, at approximately 1:11 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 7822 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:26 p.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor broke into the reporting party’s residence and stole several items. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 2:19 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 1643 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:07 p.m., in reference to a bank robbery. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 778 near Hawkins; at approximately 4:25 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 6645 near Mineola, at approximately 5:06 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 1540 near Alba; at approximately 6:09 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

September 26th

  • At 3:26 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 7:58 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Quitman, at approximately 9:43 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:51 p.m., in reference to harassment at Brookshires in Winnsboro. This case is active.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 7:13 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:21 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
  • At 8:42 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Winnsboro.

September 27th

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 1:16 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 1:42 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2427 near Mineola, at approximately 2:38 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on PR 7908 near Hawkins; at approximately 6:42 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 7:20 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4200 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:24 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

September 28th

  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2168 near Quitman; at approximately 12:03 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Front St. in Hawkins; at approximately 6:46 am. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on PR 7908 near Hawkins; at approximately 7:27 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2460 near Mineola, at approximately 7:54 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • At 9:30 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Holiday Village Clubhouse, at approximately 12:53 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1602 near Alba, at approximately 2:40 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s vehicle.
  • At 2:57 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 2791 near Mineola.
  • At 7:20 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4520 near Winnsboro.

September 29th

  • Deputies were dispatched to Golden Grocery, at approximately 12:07 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 2:08 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4494 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:12 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4470 near Leesburg, at approximately 9:29 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1647 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:42 a.m., in reference to a possible theft. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 9:48 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1630 near Alba; at approximately 12:21 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • At 7:07 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 1483 near Hawkins.
  • At 7:23 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4520 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3859 near Mineola; at approximately 8:42 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4641 near Winnsboro; at approximately 9:28 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • At 11:05 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 2780 near Mineola.

September 30th

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 1:46 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Angelica Coffman, 25, of Malakoff, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:18 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
  • At 8:41 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 1799 near Alba.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2266 near Mineola, at approximately 2:52 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 4:32 p.m., in reference to fraud. Actors, or actors unknown, made purchases on a stolen Visa card. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:15 p.m., in reference to theft on CR 2920 near Alba. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 5936 near Yantis, at approximately 8:03 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 77, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.
  • At 8:44 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1600 near Alba.

October 1st

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:06 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:18 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 17 near Alba; at approximately 5:26 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • At 9:09 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.
  • At 10:26 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 69 near Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3495 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:42 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass warning and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:57 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on CR 1616 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:38 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:01 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2225 near Quitman; at approximately 9:09 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:36 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3590 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:12 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated, prior to the deputies’ arrival.

Between the dates of September 25 and October 1, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Washington D. C. Police Department, Emergency Medical Services and Camp County Sheriff’s Office.

Total Jail Count – 136 inmates – 115 males and 21 females.
