Como Man Allegedly Ran From Deputies Trying To Serve Felony Warrants
Rowdy Lee Hargett, 27, of Como was alleged to have run out the back door of his Lynch Street residence to try to avoid deputies when they arrived around 3:10 p.m. Monday to serve him with warrants. He eventually returned and surrendered to them, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Nick Marney and Sgt. Tanner Steward alleged in arrest reports.
Hargett was arrested at 4:18 p.m. Jan. 27, on two warrants for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance and manufacture or delivery of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, and for surety off bond on tampering with evidence and possession of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charges. The offenses, according to arrest reports, were alleged to have occurred on Jan. 8, according to arrest reports.
Hargett remained in the county jail Tuesday morning, Jan. 28, according to jail reports.
