Two Picked Up In Titus County On Hopkins County Warrants

Two people were picked up from Titus County jail, where they were held after being arrested on Hopkins County warrants, according to sheriff’s reports.

Shawnda Jean Bellamy, 38, of Talco was taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28, at Titus County jail by Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Fite. She as booked on a warrant for violation of probation, which she was on for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charge.

A 27-year-old Cookeville man was also taken into custody at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28 by Fite on a Hopkins County driving while intoxicated warrant. He remained in Hopkins County jail Wednesday morning in lieu of $1,000 bond on the charge, according to jail reports.
