The Miller Grove Lady Hornets picked up a district win against Savoy Tuesday (February 11), 41-24. Miller Grove steadily built their lead over the first three quarters. The Lady Hornets led 13-8 after the first quarter, 23-11 at the half and 35-17 after three quarters. Savoy outscored the Lady Hornets 7-6 in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t nearly enough. Lauren Bullard and Jorja Bessonett both scored 14 points to lead Miller Grove. Harli Watson had 6 points. Summer Coker scored 3 points. Kaley Dorantes and Lainy Burnett scored 2 points apiece. The Lady Hornets improved their district record to 9-3 and their season record to 13-17.
