What an offensive night for the Lady Cats Softball Team as they pounded out 13 hits, got 13 walks and scored 20 runs in a 20-6 victory over McKinney North on the road Thursday night, March 12.
The Lady Cats were red hot from the start scoring 9 first inning runs. They added 6 more in the second to lead 15-1. The Lady Cats had two more runs in the third, a single run in the fourth and two more runs in the fifth. The game was called after five innings.
The offensive stars for the Lady Cats were numerous. Kate Womack was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored, 4 RBIs, a double and two walks. Allie Fite was 2 for 4 with 2 runs, 4 RBIs and a double. Nylah Lindley hit a home run and was 2 for 3 with 2 runs, 2 RBIs and 2 walks. Addison Caddell was 2 for 4 with a run scored, an RBI and a walk. Paris Pickett was 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored and a walk. Jadyn Harper was 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base. Colbria Harrison was 1 for 2 with 3 runs scored, 2 RBIs, 3 walks and a stolen base. Addison deSmet was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored, an RBI, a walk and a double. Braylea Brewer scored 3 runs and had 2 RBIs and a walk. Heather Bowen walked, Paige Seagraves had an RBI.
Denver Wyatt got the pitching win, going 3 innings, giving up 4 hits and 4 runs, with only two of them earned and she had a strikeout and 2 walks. Alli Fite went the final two innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs with a strikeout.
The Lady Cats evened their season record at 9-9. At last report, the Lady Cats were scheduled to play Wylie East at Lady Cat Park Friday evening at 6 p.m.
