Sulphur Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting at the skate park. One person was reported to be in stable condition at a hospital, where the individual receive treatment for a single gunshot wound, according to police reports.
Below SSPD’s news release regarding the shooting:
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday May 3, 2020, Sulphur Springs Police were dispatched to the skate park at Buford Park in reference to a victim of a gunshot wound. Officers were told of two different vehicles involved in a disturbance, when several gunshots were firedVictim suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle by his friends. The suspect vehicles left the scene. Officers got the description of the vehicles and began looking for them. A suspect has been identified in this case and the investigation is ongoing. The victim is in stable condition.
