Roy D Jackson, age 66, of Sulphur Springs Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Denton Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Texas at 1:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Earl Dial, Johnny Wright, Charles Yarbough, David Hunter, Mario Thomas, Travis Williams, Michael “Skeet” Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jarrod Jackson, Bryant “Bam” Jackson”, Mickey House, Danny House, Jr., Eric House, Reginald Jackson, Juan Orozco, Patrick Johnson, Aaron Jackson, and John House.
Roy was born on August 29, 1954 to Leonard Clay Jackson, Sr. and Helen Ruth “Fountain” Jackson in Mount Vernon, Texas. He worked in construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tracy Jackson; and brother, Hubert Clay Jackson.
Roy is survived by his son, Christopher Wright of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers, Leonard Jackson, Jr. and wife Jackie, of Sulphur Springs, Texas and A.W. Jackson of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Sisters, Shirley House and her husband Danny of DeKalb, Texas and Leslie Carol Orozco of DeKalb, Texas; aunt, Annie Lee Dunlap; uncle, Preston Fountain, several nieces and nephews.
