Funeral Services for Margie Harvey, age 97, of Emory, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Gaston officiating. Interment will follow at Dunbar Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Wilson- Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.
Margie was born on December 13, 1923, to Elmer Decker and Leota Smith in Van Zandt County. She passed on June 15, 2021, at Emory Senior Suites. She married Hugh S. Harvey on August 16, 1941, in Emory. They enjoyed 58 years before he passed away in 2000.
Margie is survived by her son, Hugh Dale Harvey; granddaughters, Sheila Harvey, and Paula Johnson and husband Bobby; Great-grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Joseph White and Benjamin Reid; great-great-grandchild, Jackson Frey; sister, Ann Staggs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Christine McAree, Edith Doudney and Lillian Hukill; brothers, Jessie Decker and Scott Decker; and adopted brother, Z. D. Brown.
