Graveside service for Lorene Sanderson, age 92, of Forney will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Mount Zion Cemetery Pavilion with Mike Maxon Jr. officiating and Mike Maxon Sr. assisting. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service. Nora Lorene Sanderson passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her home in Forney.
Nora Lorene Sanderson was born on October 4, 1928 in Hamilton, Texas, to Thomas Alvin and Esther Redden Anderson. She married Malcom Berl Sanderson on February 23, 1946, in Rockwall, Texas. Lorene was a member of the Assembly of God. She was a homemaker. Lorene was a loving wife, mother and granny.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Maxon and husband Mike of DeKalb, Texas, and Rita Crowell and husband Mike of Commerce, Texas; son, Thomas Sanderson and wife, Angela, of Kaufman, Texas; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband of 64 years; brother, Burk Anderson; and sister, Vera Pack.
