Charles Carter

Funeral service for Charles Carter, age 90 of Brashear, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev Wayne Darty officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Carter passed away on November 14, 2021, at his residence.

Charles was born on September 13, 1931, in Rains County, Texas, to John and Edith (Williams) Carter. He married Barbara Jean Long on August 29, 1953, in Point, Texas. Charles owned a carpet cleaning company for over 20 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended County Line Baptist Church.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Danyelle Pool and husband, John; great-grandchildren, John Pool and Charlette Pool; sisters, Nora Vicars, Barbara Jo Mitchell “MJ” and Bonnie Fry; brother, Mike Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; son, Chris Carter; and granddaughter, Christal CJ Carter.

Donations may be made to Greenview Cemetery.
