Graveside service for William Cross, age 82 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 11:00A.M. on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Cross passed away on January 7, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, TX.
William was born on March 24, 1939 in Cumby, TX the son of William Cross and Vallie (Mayo) Cross. He married Geraldine Rollins on May 27, 1967 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in August 2020. William worked at Foremost Foods until he retired.
He is survived by his daughters: Vickie Smithers, Kay Hudson and Debbie Smithers Darlin; son: Robert Smithers; sister: Reba Avery; grandchildren: Shane Darlin, Letha Reynolds, Josh Hudson, Breanna Koon and Brilynn Hudson; numerous great grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents: William and Vallie Cross; wife: Geraldine Cross; son: Cory Smithers; brothers: James Cross, Raymond Cross, Leroy Webb and James Webb.
