Funeral services for Angelica Washington, age 28, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Levelle Hendricks officiating. Formal visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Angelica passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home.
Angelica was born on January 18, 1994, in Sulphur Springs, to Gerald “Darnell” Washington and Jennifer Harris (formally Washington). She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and received her phlebotomy certificate at Paris Junior College. Angelica was all embracing and accepting, no matter your past or social standing Angelica accepted people from where they were. Her unfiltered personality brought out the true colors in everyone she encountered. Her contagious sense of humor, infectious smile and playful personality was reflected most with her unyielding love for her children. Angelica was a fun, playful, loving and adventurous boymom above all. Angelica also had a passion for culinary arts and could cook just about anything; her specialty being shrimp Alfredo with homemade Alfredo sauce. Her cooking authenticity was mirrored by her warm and genuine personality.
Angelica attended East Caney Baptist Church and Cherry Grove Baptist Church. Angelica is survived by her sons, Kaylon Roland, Taylor Roland, Xander Washington, and Liam Washington; Mother and Dad, Jennifer and Bennie Harris; Two brothers, Corey and wife Ashly Shaffer, Bradley and wife Marissa Washington; two sisters, Shanericka Dillard and Shaina Harris; seven nieces, Jhynea Douglas, Jourinee Dillard, Skyler and Aubree Shaffer, Ryan Washington, Ekah Madison and Dreamah Harris; one nephew, Jeremiah Washington; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald “Darnell” Washington, and her grandparents, Gerald and Dorthy Washington, Nick and Carol Hammond, and Bob Holder.
