A graveside service for Kay Miller Blanton “Nanny,” age 58, of Brashear, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Miller Grover Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Blanton passed away on January 3, 2023.
Kay was born on March 26, 1964, in Greenville, Texas, to Jerry Lynn and Lynda Carol (Waskom) Miller. She married Niltz Blanton in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Kay worked as a printer at Blanton Textile. She loved to paint.
She is survived by her husband, Niltz; daughter, Kayla Berkvens and husband, Paul; son, Nathan Lee Petty and fiancé, Katelynn Kneifl; grandchildren, Reagan, Rylie, Sean and Everett; mother, Lynda; a twin sister, Kim Miller, and sister, Jamie Swindle; brother-in-law, Allen Morford; and nephews who were more like sons to her, Jason and Daniel Shackelford.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Jerry and sister, Deanna Morford.
