Funeral service for Seth Cordell Griner, age 18, of Pickton will be held at 10:00 A.M on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Stone officiating and Bro. Danny Beard assisting. Interment will follow at Caney Cemetery, Pickton with Joel Crosby, Paul Fitzmaurice, JC Luvender, Jason Tully, Matthew Peyton and Dusty Jordan serving as pallbearers; with Como-Pickton Class of 2022 serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Seth passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
Seth Cordell was born on May 3, 2004 in Sulphur Springs to Jennifer (Lunsford) Griner and James David Griner. He attended the Como-Pickton School and graduated in 2022. Seth enjoyed welding and went to work as a welder after high school. Seth always had a twinkle in his eye and a contagious happiness about him. He loved to test the limits of his parents, teachers, family and friends, but always with a smile. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them. Seth also loved old cars and trucks. Seth was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Griner (Greg Couch) of Pickton; father, Jay Griner of Pittsburg; brothers, Shayden Griner, Pickton, Tristan Griner (Jayden), Pittsburg; sister, Jewely Decker (Austin), Mt. Vernon; grandparents, Mickie and Billy Lunsford, Sulphur Bluff; great grandmother, Floy Elmore; aunt, Sharron and Johnny Wetzel, Winnsboro; niece, Aniston Holladay cousins; Trey and Ty Wetzel; girlfriend, Izzy Crawford; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Seth was preceded in death by his brother, Shad Griner; grandmother, Jody Griner; great grandfather, Cliff Elmore.
