East Texas Yamboree Candidate Making a Stop in Sulphur Springs on Saturday

May 20, 2023 – Mallory Kay Bowin, a candidate for the 2023 East Texas Yamboree Queen Pageant, will be at Bodacious BBQ in Sulphur Springs this Saturday. The Yamboree is the second longest running festival in Texas.

Each service organization in Gilmer elects one queen candidate to represent them at the annual Yamboree. Bowin is the candidate selected by the 20th Century Club of Gilmer, TX. She is responsible for selling tickets, raising money, and spreading the word about Yams and the Yamboree.
