October 26, 2023 – Hopkins County received much needed rain overnight, but drivers need to be wary of localized flooding on roadways as the rain will continue through much of the day and the runoff continues after the rain stops.
Turn Around – Don’t drown! Drivers should remember to NEVER drive into water that covers the roadway as it is impossible to know how deep the water may be. As little as one foot of water could float some vehicles. Water rushing across roads and bridges may be moving faster than it looks.
