Funeral services for Jeffery Allen Thomas, age 70, of Como, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 6, 2023 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Garrett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2023 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday October 6, 2023 at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview, TX, with Daryl Watkins, Mark Friddle, Brady Potts, Jimmy Potts, Michael Hrabal, Ronald Wills, Chad Hunt and Coby Reed serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Foley Coffman, River Thomas, Canyon Thomas, Klain Thomas and Hendrix Thomas. Jeff passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on July 1, 1953in Enterprise, AL, the son of John Allen Thomas and Darlene Mittelstaedt Thomas. He married Debra Kay Davis on August 25, 1973 in Norton, VA. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2011. Jeff was a track operator for Luminant Mining before he retired. He loved to hunt and fish and was a Texas Ranger fan, but nothing compared to watching his grandchildren play baseball.
Jeff is survived by his sons, Blake Thomas and wife Christine of Gilmer, Kevin Thomas and wife Amber of Sulphur Springs and Brad Thomas and wife India of Winnsboro, grandchildren, River Thomas, Canyon Thomas, Rhayne Thomas, Klain Thomas, Kimber Thomas, Hendrix Thomas, Olivia Ogle and Jovi Thomas, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
