Nancy Frue (Arthur) Davison of Weaver, Texas passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Jordan and Bro. Daniel Kurtz officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Redar, Derek McClure, Craig Morris, Matthew Morris, Keisten Morris, Tyler Davison, Blake McClure and Jordan Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby King, Brooksey Crow, Sr., Brooksey Crow, Jr., Chris McClure, and Brad Diener.
Nancy was born to Ralph Lester and Robbie Lee (Solomon) Arthur on July 29,1936, in Mount Vernon, Texas. Growing up she was on the first Saltillo Lady Lion team to get to the regional finals. She walked the stage of her graduation and married Billy Gene Davison in Saltillo, Texas on May 21, 1954. Nancy went on to be a beauty stylist and later slowed down her passion to help her beloved husband run the family dairy where she spent many hours behind the wheel of a cab tractor raking hay with him. She was always talking about how much she loved her family and how proud she was of them. Nancy took her role as a mom very seriously raising her kids, Grandkids and Great Grand Kids. Her house and purse were always stocked with drinks and snacks for whoever showed up or who she was around. She will forever and always be everyone’s beloved NANNY.
She is survived by her husband of 69 ½ years, Billy Davison; her children and their spouses, Kay and Tim Martin, Randy and Dawn Davison, Tarry Davison, Garry and Mistie Davison, Chebna and Harold McClure, grandchildren; Matthew Morris, Craig and Jamie Morris, Keisten Morris, Chasadi Davison, Tyler and McKenzie Davison, Bianca Davison, Branda and Josh Redar, Derek McClure, Brooke McClure and Jordan Alexander, and Blake McClure, great- grandchildren; Trajan Morris, Vivian Morris, Harvey Morris, Brendyl Davison, Ryleigh Redar, Bailey Redar, Eathan Rees, Kelton McClure, Kyson Alexander, Braylon McClure, Grayson McClure, Dylan McClure, nephew,; Ray and Eba Solomon and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Robbie Aurthur; a daughter, LeAnda Gail Davison; a grandson, Chase Davison; her brother, Jesse Arthur; her sisters, Geneva Nix, Lois Huckeba, and Betty Rainey.
