Funeral Services for Jimmy Glenn Davis, age 66, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Holley officiating. Pallbearers will be Pat Young, Phil Howard Stephens III, Robert Franklin, James Johnson, Richard Finney, Jr., and Gilbert Roland. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Allen Lewis, Lawrence Cash, J.D. Davis, and Arthur Sias.
Jimmy passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Tyler, TX. He was born on March 28, 1957 in Sulphur Springs, TX the son of Francis and Archie Davis. Jimmy married Carla Johnson and they went their own way and he reunited with and married Susan Walker and from this union they had two children Ira Young and Kyla Walker. Jimmy and Carla found each other again until he transitioned to his happy day. He enojoyed all sports especially watching football and basketball games, he also enjoyed playing dominos where he considered himself “The King of dominos”. Jimmy also loved listening to gospel music and adored spending time with his family.
In addition to Carla, he is survived by his daughter Kyla Walker, brothers, Lester Davis, and Vincent Davis, one sister Lois Cash (Lawrence) as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, son Ira Young, sisters Shirley Clayton, Louise Woodard, and Mary Frances Carroll.
