Barry Fontaine Law, left us to be with Jesus on January 4, 2024 at the age of 77 in Ridgeway, Texas.
Barry was born on August 6, 1946 to Gertrude Fontaine Hallman Law and Zelon Law. He helped his father and mother run their sawmill in Pittsburg, Texas as a child. As a young man Barry did paint and body work for many automobile shops across Texas. During which he passed his knowledge of paint and body work onto his son Matt Law. Fast cars and gasoline flowed in his veins, fueled especially by his love of corvettes. After retiring from CW Gregory Motor Company, Barry enjoyed life tinkering as he always did with many things including computers, building trike motorcycles, and talking all over the world on his CB radios. Oftentimes you would find him on the phone troubleshooting computers with his daughter Kerri Ottmer or hanging with his great grandchildren when they’d come for a visit. Later in life he joined Brashear Baptist Church where he found Jesus Christ. Many a Saturday you could catch him at Whataburger drinking coffee and studying the bible with his bible study group.
On December 31, 1986 Barry married his devoted wife of 38 years, Mary Robinson (Law) in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She survives. Barry is proceeded in death by his parents, siblings, Gary Zelon Law and Zelondra Deloris Law, son, Alan Carl Hill, and beloved dog and right hand man Roscoe.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kerri and Dennis Ottmer of Cason Texas, Matt and Susan Law of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Cindy and James Howse of Birthright, Texas and Michael Hill.
Grandchildren, Kayla and Clint Swafford, Russell and Sam Ottmer, Leslie and Michael Matthews, Rachel Law, Alana Hill, Jacob George, John George, Jessica Gonzales, Dacee and Dillinger Howse, Reyna Hill, Nikki Hill and Christie Hill.
