First United Methodist Church Invites You to a Lunch and Learn Event
You might say, it’s a board game with a purpose: to get a discussion going that could greatly impact our community.
Rev. Peter McNabb, Senior Pastor of FUMC invites everyone to RSVP for an important learning experience coming this February .
Sulphur Springs is an amazing place to live and raise a family.
One of the most pressing challenges in our community is seeing the needs of our neighbors. Oftentimes we look at statistics while missing the point of the individual. We may not realize what it is like to experience poverty.
The Poverty Simulation Event from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday February 8, 2024. It all happens at the Grays Building in Pacific Park 413 Beckham Street East in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
In partnership with Cultiv8 Community, a non-profit focused on alleviating rural poverty, we are hosting a board game, meal and discussion about the resources and gaps that we have in our community.
We hope this leads to a fruitful discussion and positive changes. Your participation will be a great blessing to us and this community.
Please let me know by February 5 if you can attend.
