Funeral service for Frances Dial, age 83, of Sulphur Springs, will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jeremy Dial, Lee Austin Dial, Jacoby K. Dial, Gerald Fielden Jr., Rodney Bradley and Archie Lindley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Dial. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Tapp Funeral Home. Mrs. Dial passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 29, 2023.
Frances Marie Nash was born on February 4, 1940, to Jasper and Jewell Thomas Nash. In the passing of Jewell Thomas, Jasper married Mozella Nash as she raised Frances as her own. Frances went to school in Sulphur Springs and attended Douglas. She married Edward Austin Dial on July 24, 1959, to which three children were born, Anthony Bernard, Gwendolyn Dial Lockridge and Lester Edward Dial. Frances accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served in various departments including choir, mission department, season saints and Sunday school. She worked at HD Lee until it closed and then Hopkins County Memorial Hospital until her health began to fail.
Frances’ passing has a left a void in the life of her loved ones. She was preceded by her husband, Edward Austin Dial; father, Jasper Nash; mother, Jewell Thomas Nash; step mother, Mozell Nash; three sisters and four brothers.
While we mourn the loss, we celebrate the cherished memories Frances leaves behind. She will forever be remembered by her sons, Anthony and Lester Dial; daughter, Gwendolyn Dial Lockridge. She is also survived by her brother, Weldon Nash. Frances is remembered by precious grandchildren and great grandchildren, Christopher Nelson Wesley Dial, Jeremy O’Brien, Tamera Dial, Dominique Nicole Dial, Lee Austin Dial, Jacoby Keith Dial, Kristen Marie Nicholson Dial, Jackson Keith Dial, Jasmine Lockridge and Alisha Lockridge; great grandsons, Hunter Dial, Dakotah Keith Dial, David Nicholson Kolbe; brother in law, Earl Daniel, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
