Funeral Service for Wayne Kenneth Wisdom, age 92 of Weaver, TX will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 with Pastor Keith Chastian officiating and Trevor Partin, Cody “Hot Rod” Hooten, Rusty Garmon, Dennis Wisdom, Jr., Dylan “Pickle” Wisdom, Christopher “Big Boy” Jones, Buddy, JJ Wisdom, and Matthew Wisdom serving as pallbearers and Chris Jones, Dennis Wisdom, Sr., Rodney Wisdom, James Wisdom, Ben Partin, William “Cowboy” Jones, Jay Partin, Jeff Nelms Dustin Wisdom, Chris Pryor and Justin Wisdom serving as honorary pallbearers. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Weaver Cemetery.
Wayne was born on September 1, 1931 to William and Miley Wisdom in Hopkins County, TX. He married Donna Marie Reed Wisdom on October 3, 1953 in Rockwall, TX she preceded him in death. Wayne worked for Ford Motor Company for 33 years working in the Chassey Line where he retired. He then worked for Hopkins County Precinct 3 for over 20 years. He was an all around handy man and adored spending time with his family especially those grandkids.
He is survived by his son, Rodney Wisdom; daughter, Joy Stewart; grandchildren, Jay Partin, Ben Partin, Trevor Partin, Jennifer Nelms, Dennis Wisdom, Sr., Kenny Wisdom, James Wisdom and Leslie Wisdom as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Marie Reed Wisdom; parents, son, Dennis Wisdom; brothers, Roy Wisdom, Coy Wisdom, Paul Wisdom, L.W. Wisdom, Joe Mearl Wisdom, Eugene Wisdom and Bob Wisdom; sister, Mary Shores, one grandson, William Wisdom and 2 great grandbabies, Dalton Wayne Wisdom and Austin Eugene Wisdom.
