James Dennis Worsham (Jimmy) went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 27, 2024, at his residence on Church Street. The service will be held at First Baptist Church on Sunday June 2nd at 3:00 PM. The visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Tom Sellers, Ronny McCutchin, Glenn Thurman, Jimmy Henderson, Gunnar Livingston and Braden Livingston serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Directors, Officers, and Employees of Alliance Bank.
Jimmy was born to James Milton Worsham and Valera Worsham on October 7, 1948, in Mt. Vernon, Texas. He married Virginia Davidson on November 21, 1972, in Dallas, Texas. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Serving 6 Sunday School Class. Jimmy was a hard worker and worked from an early age until his death. He worked 36 years at Alliance Bank and was an Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He came to work at the bank 6 months after Tom Sellers who he shared a special friendship with. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1999. He was truly loved by all his bank friends and will be so missed.
Jimmy loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent many weekends hunting and taking his family and friends to Hico in hopes they would enjoy it as much as he did. He was an expert fly fisherman and spent summers in Colorado fly fishing with his family.
He is survived by: his daughter Tamara Worsham; his son James Worsham and wife Roxanne; his grandchildren Gunnar Livingston and wife Ali, Braden Livingston, and Jordyn Worsham who all live in McKinney, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Worsham Reeves, husband Wayne, Allison Jurskis, Ashley Jones, Tripp Reeves and families.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs Texas.
